September is Suicide Prevention Month—a time to break the silence, reduce stigma, and remind one another that hope and help are always within reach.

As a counselor, I’ve seen firsthand the power of speaking up, reaching out, and being heard. Mental health struggles often happen in silence, but you don’t have to walk through them alone. Whether you're struggling with overwhelming thoughts or supporting someone who is, know that your feelings are valid, and support is available.

This month is a call to all of us—to check in with our friends, to ask the hard questions, and to listen without judgment. Even a simple “How are you really doing?” can be the start of something life-saving.

If you or someone you care about is in crisis, please don’t wait. You can contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988—free, confidential, and available 24/7.

Let’s continue to create a world where mental health is prioritized, and every life is valued.

You matter. You are not alone. Help is here.
